Dr. Lauren Humphreys is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine (ABDSM), a distinction widely recognized as the gold standard for excellence in dental sleep medicine. She is one of only three dentists in the Jacksonville area to have achieved Diplomate status with the ABDSM, reflecting an advanced level of education, knowledge, and clinical experience in the treatment of sleep-related breathing disorders.
Dr. Humphreys has been practicing dentistry in Jacksonville since 2018, but her passion for dental sleep medicine is deeply personal. After years of frequent nighttime awakenings, night sweats, chronic fatigue, and unrefreshing sleep, she was diagnosed with a sleep-related breathing disorder. Treatment with a custom oral appliance transformed her own sleep, helping her achieve more restorative rest and significantly improved daytime energy.
Experiencing firsthand how much better sleep can improve daily life inspired Dr. Humphreys to help other patients struggling with obstructive sleep apnea, snoring, sleep-disordered breathing, poor-quality sleep, and daytime fatigue.
Today, Dr. Humphreys helps patients throughout Jacksonville and Northeast Florida explore comfortable, personalized treatment options for sleep-related breathing disorders. For appropriate patients, custom oral appliance therapy can provide an effective, non-invasive treatment option for obstructive sleep apnea and snoring, including an alternative for patients who are unable to tolerate CPAP therapy.
Dr. Humphreys believes patients deserve to understand not only their treatment options, but also how sleep-disordered breathing can affect their overall health and quality of life. She emphasizes open communication, patient education, and individualized care so that every patient feels informed, comfortable, and confident throughout the treatment process.
A native Floridian, Dr. Humphreys grew up in the Florida Panhandle and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Florida. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University and completed a General Practice Residency at the West Palm Beach Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Outside of the office, Dr. Humphreys enjoys the beachside Florida lifestyle. You can often find her out on the water, surfing, or spending time with friends, family, and her rescue dog.

Dr. Alan M. Krantz has earned the highest distinction and level of achievement in dental sleep medicine. Dr. Krantz is one of only 3 dentists in Jacksonville to be able to add Diplomate ABDSM (American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine) to his name. Dr. Krantz is originally from New York and has resided and practiced in the Jacksonville area since 1997. Dr. Krantz graduated from Case Western Reserve School of Dentistry in Cleveland and has been treating patients for sleep disordered breathing in his general dental practice since 2011. Dr. Krantz is no longer practicing general dentistry and has solely dedicated his practice to the treatment of Sleep Apnea at Dental Sleep Medicine of Jacksonville P.A.
